Remembering the War Exhibition

Marking 80 years since the end of the Second World War, this exhibition at the National Library of Australia explores powerful stories from one of history’s deadliest conflicts. Through wartime posters, personal accounts and archival collections, visitors can discover the impact of the war on Australians both at home and abroad, including the changing role of women and the realities of espionage and conscription. The exhibition also reflects on the rebuilding of nations and communities forever changed by the events of the war.
